ABOUT ANIMATION ARTS |
||
Animation Arts is where teens and kids learn to make their own cartoons. Under the direction of experienced instructors, students learn industry-developed principles that are the keys to creating great animation. They also learn about storyboarding, character design, lip synching, using sound effects, and much more. Those who love to draw comics will be especially thrilled when they bring their characters to life through animation. Students in our Jr. Animator programs cover the same basic curriculum, although the sessions are shorter and less demanding. You don't have to be a great artist to make entertaining animation. These individually paced workshops are appropriate for everyone from the casual doodler to the aspiring animator or cartoonist. Our spacious Marlton studio has everything students need to create commercial quality animation. Each student develops a portfolio reel of animated features. We teach traditional (hand drawn) animation so students spend most of their time drawing at lightboxes, although they sometimes use computers, cameras, or other equipment. Students are encouraged to conceive their own story ideas, and we make their projects more challenging as they go along. Many of our students have been attending for years, there's always more to learn about animation. |
